MTU and Northwestern Michigan College to Collaborate on Great Lakes Research

Michigan Technological College and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) have formalized
their intent to collaborate on Terrific Lakes research, with a concentrate on marine know-how,
freshwater science and experienced growth.

At a signing ceremony held Wednesday, Sept. 16, Michigan Tech President Rick Koubek
and NMC President Nick Nissley mentioned their shared mission and complementary strengths
in advancing Terrific Lakes research, as properly as their objective to collaborate in building
an internationally acknowledged middle of excellence in freshwater science and research.

Below a two-year Memorandum of Knowledge, the College and NMC agreed to:

• cooperatively develop marine know-how and functions options,

• collaborate on experienced growth projects that showcase Michigan Tech science
