Telstra’s former Wholesale boss Stuart Lee passes away – Telco/ISP

Telstra CEO Andy Penn has led tributes to Stuart Lee, a retired forty five-12 months veteran of the telco and a single-time Wholesale boss who handed absent yesterday.

Penn paid tribute to Lee, expressing that “Telstra has misplaced a single of its stalwarts and Australia a single of its telecommunication business giants”.

Lee retired from Telstra in November 2016 just after forty five many years at the corporation, wherever he held 20 distinctive roles.

“Stuart was a chief, a mate and mentor to several and I rely myself as a single who benefited from his sensible counsel, support and eager business perception,” Penn reported.

“On behalf of the Telstra staff, my sincere condolences to Stuart’s friends, family and former colleagues. We’ll miss him tremendously.”

Lee would be “well remembered for his big intellect and deep treatment for people, development, Telstra and telecommunications in Australia,” Penn added.

Lee started off out as a cadet engineer with the Postmaster Standard.

“His contribution, both of those in just Telstra and throughout Telecommunications in Australia, was big,” Penn reported.

“In 2014 he was named Comms Alliance Australian Comms Ambassador for sustained business leadership, commitment to strengthening the sector and for developing potential business leaders.

“In 2012 he was also named an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne wherever he was a Member of Market Advisory Group to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the group’s chairman 2015-2020.”
